Book Review 12 The truth about stacey

        The Truth About Stacey

This book is a comic book written by Ann M. Martin and was a graphic novel by Raina Telgemeier the writer of Smile. There were these four girls named Kristy Thomas, Claudia Kishi, Mary Anne Spier and last but not least Stacey McGill. It all started when Stacey moved to StoneyBrook all the way from New York City. When Stacey was still in New York she had diabetes. Stacey also had a best friend named Laine. Laine had no idea that Stacey had diabetes, so then a boy named Bobby Reeder told her that Stacey’s diabetes were contagious and Laine believed him. So Laine never wanted to go near Stacey or else she would catch the diabetes which wasn’t true. Except Stacey thought she didn’t want to be friends with her. Stacey’s friends had started this Baby-Sitters club and included her with it. When they made the club there was also another club with older girls in it called the baby-sitters agency. These older girls had become so famous that Stacey’s club had no clients. Stacey was so mad and they all had only one idea which was to pretend to be a client and call the girls for a baby sitter to come over and look after a pretend child. Near to the end other parents that Stacey knew had changed from The Baby-Sitters Club to the Baby-Sitters Agency. When Stacey came over to a house to see how the kid was he said that all they do was sit, watch T.V and also showed stacey a cigarette mark. Stacey and the rest told the parents and The Baby Sitters-Agency had to close down. All the parents were happy that they told them and in the end The Baby Sitters Agency turned into Makeovers Inc. So it was a very happy ending and also taught those older girls a lesson which was to do there job properly.

I recommend this book for ages 10+ and also I rate this book 9/10. This is a awesome comic book and I encourage you to read this
